K9 Ranch

Every single policy, requirement and rule at K9 Ranch must — before anything else — satisfy one primary objective:  to protect the health, safety and well-being of all canine guests in residence.  It’s necessary, therefore, for new client-parents to complete a Pet Profile before their four-legged child comes to stay here for the first time.  Your answers to these questions form the foundation on which ranch staff develop their understanding of your dog, of his or her temperament, personality, behaviours, habits and special needs.  The permanent profile resulting from this ensures that this initial stay at K9 Ranch — and all visits that follow — will be as safe and comfortable as possible for your tail-wagging, tongue-lolling, totally trusting loved one.

As well as the Pet Profile, ranch staff require that client-parents fill in a Pet Registration (a summary of basic contact information); both these can be completed by creating an account.  The third necessary area is the Client Service Agreement, which you can complete online, within the account registration process.

Boarding Check-in

  • Check-in time begins at 3:00 p.m. and runs until 7:00 p.m. (ranch office closing time).
  • The 3:00 p.m. start to check-in is to allow housekeeping sufficient time to properly prepare and sanitize a room for a guest’s stay.
  • K9 Ranch staff do make every attempt to accommodate special requests for check-ins earlier than 3:00 p.m.
  • There is always a full charge for the first day of a boarding stay, regardless of the check-in time.
  • You should allow an extra 15 minutes in your schedule at check-in for reviewing the details on the completed forms and discussing any special instructions.

Boarding Check-out

  • Check-out time is 12:00 p.m. (or earlier).
  • The 12:00 p.m. end to check-out is to allow housekeeping sufficient time to properly prepare and sanitize a room for its next guest later that afternoon.
  • If a dog hasn’t been picked up by 12:00 p.m., he or she will require additional care, and the result will be a $25 late check-out fee — unless, of course, Day Camp service has been scheduled. Changes to your dog’s check-out day and/or time must be made at least 24 hours in advance and are subject to availability.
  • For security purposes and to ensure the safety of a checking-out guest, parental photo identification may be required.
