Learn More about Why choose K9 RanchOur maintenance grooming services for boarding dogs continue to be offered 7 days a week, and are geared towards maintaining cleanliness and comfort. If you just need a quick wash, a basic nail trim or brush because your dog has booked a longer stay, but does not need much other maintenance this is a good option for you.
If your pup is prone to matting, tangles, or may benefit from a full pamper day in our professional Salon, you may want to book a grooming package during their stay!
We offer baths using high quality shampoos and conditioners selected specifically for your pet’s coat and skin type. We blow dry and fluff out each pet, brushing through the process. Each haircut is completed with a high attention to detail and we encourage guardians to send us a photo of the type of haircut most preferred! Nails are clipped, ears are cleaned and each pet is spritzed with a custom fragrance before their service is completed!
Our salon hours are:
Sunday 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
Monday 7:00 am – 12:00 pm
Thursday 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
The frequency of dog grooming services sessions will depend on your pet’s breed, coat type, and activity level. Generally, long-haired breeds need to be groomed every 4 to 6 weeks, while short-haired breeds only need to be groomed every 6 to 8 weeks.
In addition, dogs that love to play and explore in nature usually need more frequent grooming than those who spend most of their days indoors. Therefore, to maintain your pet’s coat in good condition, we recommend you make your dog grooming services appointments regular and consistent.
Our professional groomers use positive reinforcement and will take their time with helping dogs that may not be as comfortable with the grooming process. We may recommend that pet owners seek professional training (also offered on site) or do several short sessions to help dogs work through fear or suspicion as it relates to being groomed or handled.
To set your puppy up for the most success we do suggest that you are brushing your pups a few times a week to get used to grooming tools and the process. If you can also try to clip the tips of the nails as early on as possible so they build trust with you and the tool needed to beautify them.
